This is Baltimore's Patterson Park Pagoda imagined in the style of the iconic painting "Starry Night" painted by Vincent Van Gogh in 1889. This version, "Starry Pagoda" is a print of an original oil painting created with love in 2016 by me: Baltimore-based artist and owner of Night Owl Gallery, Beth-Ann Wilson. Depicted is the Patterson Park Pagoda illuminated at night. These prints are professionally printed on 100% acid-free paper by a local printer. The piece is reinforced with a black backer-board and is nestled securely in a cellophane sleeve- both also acid-free. There will be no "nightowlgallery" watermark on the shipped product. This is the perfect addition to your Baltimore-themed art collection!
'“This morning I saw the countryside from my window a long time before sunrise, with nothing but the morning star, which looked very big,” wrote van Gogh to his brother Theo, describing his inspiration for one of his best-known paintings, The Starry Night (1889) The window to which he refers was in the Saint-Paul asylum in Saint-Rémy, in southern France, where he sought respite from his emotional suffering while continuing to make art... Such a combination of visual contrasts was generated by an artist who found beauty and interest in the night, which, for him, was “much more alive and richly colored than the day."' --from Moma.org
As everyone's computer monitors and mobile devices are different there may be a slight variation in color as compared to your computer screen. Colors have been painstakingly matched in the printing process and are as true as possible to the original. Enjoy!
